What's the Role?

You will be working on the optimization of investigative tools, queues, and user-facing flows, building an effective reporting structure and creating strong external and internal partnerships. The right person must have 1-3 years of experience related to e-commerce Trust and Safety, fraud/risk prevention and/or chargebacks.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate fraud cases and recognize fraudulent and/or suspicious trends
  • Review queued results in a fraud prevention tool in order to prevent potential risks
  • Work to help establish appropriate guidelines for company policies related to refunds, usage fee structures, and missing bike fee policies system-wide
  • Work to develop and enhance internal policies and tools related to fraudulent activity for the finance and customer service teams
  • Work with members of the operations strategy and product teams to implement new ways to reduce fraudulent use of our systems
  • Mitigate losses derived from the abuse of our payment platform
  • Your focus will be on the prediction of fraudulent transactions as well as the ways in which we can optimize our fee policies to increase our overall yield
  • You will perform regular audits of our system policies to ensure we have put the right procedures in place to prevent fraud and increase yield
  • You will be working closely with finance, customer service, and other stakeholders to provide feedback and improve our models
  • Your focus will be on analyzing patterns and trends in order to prevent future fraud and supporting our team on the development of all the infrastructure necessary to prevent payment fraud across our systems

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience related to e-commerce Trust and Safety, fraud prevention and/or chargebacks
  • Knowledge of MasterCard and Visa Operating rules and regulations preferred
  • Solid experience and knowledge of the intricacies of bank card processing including a comprehensive understanding of various types of merchant billing, refunds and the analysis of credit card transactions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, to assist our management and local systems in a tactful and diplomatic manner
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, analytical skills and ability to organize and work independently with rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to detect vulnerabilities in existing and new products or features, and anticipate the ever-evolving fraudulent behaviors
  • Desire to work in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to multi­task, learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Able to prioritize and respond to team needs
  • Ability to analyze data for patterns and detail oriented:­ you do your due diligence when completing an investigation.
