As Caesars/William Hill, we operate sports betting in 18 U.S. jurisdictions and have partnerships with the biggest leagues and media companies in the country including, the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, ESPN, and CBS Sports. Marking a major milestone in American sports history, we opened the first-ever sports betting venue within a professional United States sports facility, the William Hill Sportsbook at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. Partnerships like this are positioning our business to skyrocket as sports betting continues to expand across the country and our customers get a taste of the action.

On the Technology side, we’ve built an entire sports betting and iGaming platform from the ground up in less than 3 years. Through continuous improvement and data-informed product development, we are adding features so that our customers have the best product experience in the market. Our Product Technology team is comprised of the brightest minds in Tech, and our culture of autonomy and decisiveness gives the team the freedom to deliver without constantly seeking permission to take action. We chart our own path and innovate as we create the next generation of products. We’re looking for like-minded superstars that want to work with the best of the best and join the biggest name in sports betting and iGaming as we take over the U.S. market!

What You Will Do: 

  • Ensure that the technology organization is a customer-centric team, focused on executing initiatives that deliver against the team’s strategy
  • Demonstrate the progress of the team’s efforts; pinpoint areas for improvement, and set plan of action to make us work better
  • Develop performance metrics and use them to drive continuous improvement
  • Establishes policies, best practices, systems, technology, development standards, and methodologies to ensure the bar is met
  • Manage escalation of risks, issues, and dependencies by providing guidance to the team so that they can make informed decisions  
  • Oversee hiring decisions, performance appraisals, and employee development
  • Identify gaps in accountabilities within the team and identify existing or new roles to take ownership of them
  • Maintain an overview of our state-of-the-art technology stack by monitoring trends within the industry, and measuring impact or potential impact on business operations and goals
  • Coordinate, coach, and inspire a set of cross-functional, vertical teams
  • Co-create and execute on a multi-year technology roadmap, strategy, budget, and resource plan for technology
  • Work with internal product and other stakeholders to define customer-facing platform development specifications and incorporate into a master development road map
  • Enhance the use of existing technologies and drive scalability and stability
  • Partner with Product Owners to manage KPIs and OKRs at the group and team levels 

 

What You Will Need:  

  • 10+ years as a strong, hands-on team leader who will attract, retain, and mentor a high performing collaborative organization
  • Detailed knowledge of technology delivery processes and approaches in use across the market e.Agile, Large Scale Scrum, Scaled Agile 
  • A customer-focused leader capable of recognizing internal and external customers. 
  • Able to establish effective relationships by pinpointing customer needs including;communication, networking, and influencing skills necessary to establish working relationships within the company  
  • Background in strong financial governance, business change management, technical dependency management, resource planning, stakeholder management, and project execution
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership and functional business partners to understand strategic direction and capabilities critical for success
  • Lead implementation of the appropriate governance, prioritization and effective sponsorship of initiatives
  • Self-educating regarding team management and building organizations
  • Experienced mentor of teams handling conflict resolution, team building, and employee engagement by identifying key milestones to celebrate internally
  • Generate excitement and awareness around important initiatives and lead the celebration for wins
  • Demonstrate management style that encourages teamwork, participation, communication, and service orientation
