GM, Thought Leadership at The Trade Desk
The GM of Thought Leadership’s role is to drive its industry education and thought leadership, content publishing, and TTD’s research agenda. This senior marketer would lead a team that plans and executes all thought leadership projects including industry reports, whitepapers, and educational or seasonal microsites. This leader would work in concert with the global brand leadership to build strategies and tactics that support global launches and programs. The leader and team would work toward setting and defining audience and engagement metrics, and improving results.
This leader will manage a team of 2-3 professionals and work with other key resources globally to drive programs.
Set a thought leadership strategy for the company that aligns with the global marketing goals and the objectives and programs for the brand.
Develop content in all formats including thought leadership papers, blogs, research reports, microsites, social media, etc. Work with the account team and creative teams to help shape the design, video production, web development, and other resources to execute the plan.
Support development of educational and company PowerPoint presentations and other materials.
Oversee development of proprietary data driven industry reports that add value to industry conversation.
Oversee data driven thought pieces and analytics that fuel public relations strategies. Work hand in hand with PR leadership to conceive thought leadership and amplify content.
Manage content development for third party partnerships such as Forrester, Gartner, etc. working in concert with marketing partners.
Support global thought leadership agenda working with teams in NY, APAC and EMEA to share knowledge, develop and produce content.
Build a world class team of professionals to create, measure and amplify thought leadership content. Work in conjunction with account and design team to publish content.
Collaborate closely with sales and business development teams to generate and craft client cases and content.
Engage closely with product marketing to identify key messages, USPS and RTBs and integrate product into macro messaging.
Work closely with general marketing, social and other teams to plan integrated campaigns to maximize content reach and engagement across audiences.WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
We are looking for a strategic thinker and experienced thought leadership expert with 12+ years of experience in a combination of Content Strategy, Content Marketing, Industry Research/Analytics/ Reporting, PR/Journalism, and Customer Engagement Planning.
Proven experience planning, executing and amplifying content across different audiences to drive response and engagement.
Proven ability to plan and define research programs and interpret data to craft compelling brand stories.
Strong knowledge/understanding of how brands and agencies operate.
Broad geographic experience across NA, APAC, EMEA and/or working across global teams and markets, a plus.
Highly collaborative and able to work in a fast growth, entrepreneurial environment.
Mix of left/ right brain—able to drive creative ideas/ solutions and analytical content.
Substantial experience managing and developing teams.
