Job Description

You will collaborate with the executive team and partner stakeholders to develop and manage the compliance functions for the Attune platform. You will help build and manage the resources required to develop this key area of our business. Along the way, you will build great working relationship and join a collaborative community that believes anything is possible and that you can have fun while doing great work. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders, including internal and external legal counsel, to create and manage a compliance roadmap and prioritize key areas of focus

  • Manage external counsel, which includes knowing when to seek outside counsel and determining the right firm to partner with as well as ensuring they perform the required work and informing all stakeholders of legal counsel determinations

  • Ensuring adherence to all producer licensing and other regulations as well as other compliance requirements (e.g., PCI compliance) while tracking and reporting on relevant industry developments

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for departments of insurance

  • Managing the compliance component of onboarding new distribution partners

  • Partner with underwriting, operations, and technology to ensure regulatory requirements are contemplated and addressed appropriately as we launch new products, experiences and processes

  • Designing process and conducting internal and external audits (e.g. insurance carrier audits, distribution partner audits, regulatory and financial audits)

  • When appropriate identify and partner with external compliance vendors to help manage the processes

  • Monitoring risk-management activities, including third party risk management, privacy and data security, helping the group identify and manage emerging risks, and supervising work related to AML, corruption and fraud detection

Qualifications

  • You have 10-15 years of experience with an insurance producer or Property & Casualty insurer in a compliance related function

  • You have in depth experience managing and empowering a compliance team

  • You are knowledgeable with regulatory best practices applicable to a producer operating nationally.

  • You have strong research and analytical skills

  • As Attune grows, the level of responsibility will with it. The number of external parties will grow, our compliance requirements will grow, etc.

  • As we look to innovate products and how we deliver them to the end customer, this individual will not to chart the regulatory path required to achieve that path. Likely will result in unique industry expertise and experience

  • As needs grow, this person will need to hire and grow a support team.
