We’re seeking a Head of M&A to identify, evaluate and execute acquisition opportunities across existing and new commercial verticals.  In this newly created role, you will lead all US M&A activities including developing, articulating and executing a partnership and acquisition strategy.  You will help to define the strategic acquisition criteria for CLEAR, which will include acceleration of our growth strategy, both digital and physical, and our technology feature set.  You will be an essential member at the nexus of product, engineering and our strategic efforts.  You will be expected to lead the full process from idea generation, sourcing, valuation, negotiating and collaboration with internal stakeholders on potential acquisitions as a key driver of growth, as well as market analysis and development of our strategy to become the leading secure identity company globally.

 What You Will Do:

  • Perform industry research to understand the competitive set and develop understanding of emerging technologies and trends
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop M&A framework and identify opportunities within existing businesses and expansion into new areas
  • Create a robust pipeline of add on targets and operate as primary relationship manager for acquisition targets
  • Build networks and relationships with external founders, investors and bankers
  • Develop financial models and valuations for potential acquisitions
  • Coordinate due diligence, lead negotiations and deal structuring
  • Collaborate with other key stakeholders for deal execution
  • Serve as a key member of the team that sets the company’s strategic direction
  • Present recommendations to senior management 

Who You Are:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in corporate M&A, private equity or venture capital
  • Have led cross-functional teams to execute all aspects of transactions 
  • Experience in the technology and software space
  • Demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis and research 
  • Strategic thinker
  • Superior executive communication and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, self starter
  • Expert level Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Comfortable working as part of a small team 
  • MBA preferred

We are located in the Chelsea neighborhood on Manhattan's west side. Chelsea is the primary art district within the borough.
