Job Description

SwagUp is currently looking for someone to own our Procurement Division! Our Procurement Division is essential to our Sales & Operations functions, and we’re looking for someone to keep up with our fast-paced environment with a proven track record managing over $20 million dollar buying budgets, vast knowledge of supply chain and demand and logistics.

 

You’ll be in a key position to oversee our entire procurement department and ensure our team processes orders in a timely manner, working closely with suppliers on getting costs down and that they are meeting deadlines + standardize and automate the processThe ideal candidate will have great attention to detail and outstanding communication skills with a proven background in managing procurement teams, building out and managing to specific KPI’s, using data to make decisions and driving efficiency through process not people Our procurement department is one of the most important and key parts of our business, which requires someone with extensive experience in supply chain and procurement. This candidate would have to have knowledge of sources strategies, and work closely with suppliers on cost and meeting timelines.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • ​Build and implement smooth process full-cycle, from when orders are submitted until items are received in our warehouse
  • Maintain consistent communication with vendors to ensure all items will arrive as expected 
  • Build, manage and measure Procurement KPI’s and vendor scorecards
  • Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Work with Vendors on supply and meeting deadlines 
  • Collaborate with Warehouse team to coordinate daily packing schedules based off of current order statuses and estimated arrival dates
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • Manage our current team of Procurement Specialists
  • Manage multiple orders and keep track of ship dates
  • Approve proofs for clients with the correct logo and imprint types
  • Experience with screen printers and embroiderers would be a plus - but not required.
  • Deeply understand the landscape of suppliers, the countless products available to customers, and the different imprint methods utilized in various situations

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement
  • At least 5 years experience managing a team
  • Salesforce experience
  • Self-motivated individual who strives to go above and beyond to do what’s best for customers
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Experience working with multiple vendors to fulfill POs
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative environment where everyone pitches in
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Thrives in a fast moving environment where things are always changing
  • Questions the status quo and isn’t afraid to speak up
