About the Role
iCapital is looking for a Head of Technology Risk Management (Senior Vice President) to join its Risk Management team. The focus of this role will be to oversee technology related risk management and build a team to help facilitate the assessment, planning, and implementation of a technology risk management program. This person will work closely with our General Counsel, CIO and CISO.
Responsibilities
- Oversee technology risk management for an expanding financial technology company with over $70 billion in platform assets operating both in the U.S. and abroad.
- Establish an industry leading risk management program working in conjunction with financial and legal professionals.
- Conduct a risk assessment of all platform systems and third party systems and technology.
- Review and expand the company’s current program of technology audits and assessments.
- Act as point person for the risk assessment and review of technology vendors.
- Interface with the legal and compliance team to embed GDPR requirements within the IT process.
- Work with the Corporate Development team on technology risk management assessments in M&A transactions.
- Institute regulatory, governing, and advisory boards to oversee the company’s technology controls.
- Implement an enhanced data protection program in conjunction with the Information Security team.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience and expertise in risk management in a highly complex and regulated environment
- 5+ years of progressive experience in technology risk management
- Prior involvement in information systems and technology
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
- Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
- High level of integrity
- Organized with strong attention to detail and big picture capability
- Experience with Alternatives is a plus
