Do you have experience building training programs from scratch? Have you facilitated or created a hands on technical training for a large diverse audience? Are you excited about making a real impact on a training program that will impact thousands of new and current employees?

 

Motivate is looking to hire an Instructional Designer to support training for our hourly workforce and larger business operations. In this role you will identify training needs and design educational content for designated teams and individuals while facilitating training sessions as needed. You will ensure that all teams are trained in alignment with Motivate policies and best practices and ensure employees continuously learn new skills and improve upon their current skill set.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create engaging and compelling educational content that helps resolve process and knowledge gaps across the business

  • Collaborate with department leaders to understand and identify process and knowledge gaps across the business

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement training curricula that addresses logistical and operational needs

  • Apply tested instructional design theories (including but not limited to ADDIE and AGILE), practice, and methods to ensure good adoption of programs instructed

  • Design criteria and methods for assessing knowledge retention

  • Maintain instructional project documentation and supplementary materials

  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager to design and implement courses that address larger business needs outside of logistical curricula

  • Coordinate and facilitate training as needed


 

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in an instructional design or e-learning environment

  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to manage time well while managing multiple different projects simultaneously and cross-functionally

  • Experience with an instructional design both from scratch and as a consultant for a subject matter expert (SME)

  • Familiar with e-learning authoring tools - experience with Articulate 360 strongly preferred

  • Experience with designing and conducting training programs to support physical operations such as product assembly or repair

  • Experience developing training courses and learning pathways that include varied contexts and media - flyers, multi-page documents, slides, and stills or animations used in video production to supplement traditional training authoring tools.

  • Experience facilitating in-person and virtually

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, especially in writing

  • Familiar with learning management systems, particularly with admin and data analysis features - experience with TalentLMS preferred
