Position Overview:

The Planning team leads initiatives that are essential to strategic management of our inventory lifecycle. 

As a Planner on our fashion team, you will be responsible for creating, operationalizing and maintaining inventory plans. You will be required to apply a data driven approach to inventory planning and will be accountable for maintaining and driving optimal inventory levels by category and channel to maximize ROI. You will report to the Senior Planner and work cross-functionally with Analytics, Buying, Site Merchandising, Operations, and Finance. The ideal candidate is curious, comfortable working with complex data and energized by having a direct impact on growth.

 

What You’ll Do:

This role will be responsible for several key company initiatives across inventory planning, including:

  • Support Senior Planner on inventory performance reporting, forecasting, and the budgeting process across critical revenue channels 
  • Create pre-season plans and in-season forecasts that support our subscription inventory needs
  • Analyze inventory performance based on historical data, product attributes and customer attributes in all inventory consumption channels and regularly communicate findings to Merchandising teams
  • Utilize Looker/Tableau to build and maintain data visualizations for Buying and Site Merchandising teams
  • Support Buying teams’ understanding of and ability to improve key metrics by partnering with Inventory Analytics team on actionable analyses 
  • Build and evolve planning tools and processes to support growth and keep up with rapidly changing business needs
  • Partner closely with the Product Development team to provide guidance on future buys

 

About You:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field
  • You have 3+ years of experience in Planning, Consulting, Analytics or Finance
  • You have advanced Excel skills
  • You are proficient in SQL and Looker/Tableau
  • You have a strong understanding of financial metrics and concepts
  • You possess strong planning and organizational skills
  • You are comfortable making decisions and recommendations grounded in data
  • You have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues through objective analysis and planning
  • You have the ability to work with limited resources and collaborate cross-functionally with different departments
  • You have the ability to handle many projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize across a diverse workload with strong project management skills/discipline to meet set deadlines
