We're seeking an experienced IT Director to join our team. This person will be based in Brooklyn, but will collaborate with our global offices to plan company-wide IT solutions. They will provide hardware, software, and network support.
As Work & Co grows, so do our technology needs. We use a variety of applications and systems in our offices that require constant maintenance. At the same time, we are always focused on improvements. You will be responsible for overseeing our existing infrastructure while finding new ways to enhance our capabilities.
The ideal candidate is energetic, thoughtful, creative, organized, critical, curious and not easily flustered. Embracing our iterative approach -- and remaining flexible enough to adapt to new approaches quickly while dealing with a high volume of priorities and requests.
Work & Co and our employees rely heavily on our technology infrastructure, from physical devices to network security, in order to deliver our projects. This person should be a champion for reliable, stress-free technology and bring hands-on experience of turning long-term goals into actionable plans and solutions.
Because the IT Director will provide support across offices, and will work directly with users of all levels, exceptional communication skills and a customer service mindset are must-haves.
What You Will Do
- Ensure network configuration is optimal, secure, and scaling with company's needs
- Manage all systems and software contracts and licensing
- Implement and support policy guidelines from a network and systems perspective with focus on security and privacy standards / best practices
- Assists with external and internal audits of processes related to network/system administration
- Management and evolution of mobile device management process
- Manage proactive tool monitoring and logging of network related incidents
- IT operational integration with new groups/teams as needed (partnerships/acquisitions)
- Engineer the topology of our global network (WiFi, Switches, Firewalls, Cable Network, etc.)
- Plan and execute incident response procedures (Disaster recovery, emergency response, security incident response, etc.)
- Continuous maintenance and improvement of teleconference system / software
- Work closely with other teams, including our Operations and Talent teams
- Manage IT support team to ensure virtual and physical asset management and inventory, troubleshooting, and upkeep of office IT infrastructure
We Are Looking For
- 8+ year of IT management and operations, supervising dispersed teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
- Expert knowledge of Apple-based environment
- Excellent understanding of cloud based systems, security, network and systems administration, and telecommunications systems
- Proven project management skills
- Demonstrated exceptional communication skills. This role has a variety of stakeholders and it's important to be able to support people at all levels with a variety of backgrounds
- An action-oriented bias: We are looking for someone who can create strategically roadmapped solutions rather than relying on reactive planning
