ABOUT THE TEAM AND ROLE

Skimm HQ is growing quickly and we’re looking for someone to join us as our first in-house IT Manager. You will have the opportunity to build our IT foundation and enhance our practices. You’ll manage all of our internal systems and technologies, as well as provide day-to-day IT support to help the company work more efficiently and securely. Reporting to our Director of Engineering and working alongside our Engineering team, you will also have the opportunity to learn about software operations and infrastructure. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
• Direct technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects
• Identify problematic areas and opportunities for automation and implement strategic solutions
• Work with external vendors for any repairs/technical work requests
• Management of software lifecycle / license management
• Provide IT helpdesk and troubleshooting support to employees on a daily basis
• Keep user software up to date
• Onboard and offboard employees
• Manage office AV equipment
• Manage Wifi and phone systems
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Manage hardware inventory and health/software
• Handle annual IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 4 years IT management or related work 
• Be proficient in supporting primarily macOS, Windows, and all common office software and applications such as Microsoft, Slack, Wifi systems, Adobe, Google Suite, iOS, Android and cloud SaaS products
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to adapt to evolving organization and changes in priority
• Passion for theSkimm and its mission
