About the Role

The IT Operations Manager is responsible for the daily support of all aspects of the organization's technology environment including software, hardware, network, account management, and A/V.  This full-time role ensures that all New Classrooms employees (both local and remote) receive friendly and proactive technical support, and reports to the Vice President of Technology.

What You Would Do

  • Provide a full range of desktop support to all employees at the New York City office in a timely and proactive manner
  • Provide remote desktop support to field-based employees
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity
  • Maintain phone, conference room, and video equipment in the NYC office and its conference rooms
  • Lead technology on-boarding with new employees and off-boarding for departures
  • Lead and mentor the IT Operations team

What We Are Looking For

  • Impeccable communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, required
  • Interest in education or education technology, required
  • Experience providing friendly customer service to diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Availability for travel as needed
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of networking fundamentals and security
  • Experience supporting macOS and Windows
  • Working knowledge of A/V equipment (projectors, TVs, Apple TV, videoconference units)
  • IT asset management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create effective processes and procedures
  • Google G Suite administration a plus
  • People management and leadership experience a big plus
