IT Operations Specialist

We’re hiring an IT Operations Specialist to streamline and manage our internal technical systems as we grow. Reporting to the VP of People & Culture, the IT Operations Specialist will ensure that BentoBox has airtight IT procedures and policies that will scale with the business while also allowing for flexibility. This will be the company’s first hire dedicated to IT, and there will be many opportunities to help shape the direction of our approach to technology.

Responsibilities

  • Be the admin / centralized point of contact for the majority of the software systems and licenses we use
  • Create accounts for new hires and deactivate accounts for terminating employees
  • Assist with every employee’s first day experience, ensuring each new hire has access to the systems they need when they first log in
  • Troubleshoot employees’ technical issues, and establish best practices to help employees use their technology
  • Ensure that procurement and setup of new technical equipment is smooth and efficient
  • Create and manage a hardware inventory and tracking system
  • Work with leadership to implement new technology-related policies and procedures that will scale as the company grows
  • Continuously suggest and implement improvements to our current state of internal hardware/system setup, file management, and other IT-related processes
  • Uphold BentoBox’s core mission, vision, and values

Skills and Attributes

  • At least 2 years of IT support experience at an organization running MacOS and G-Suite
  • Experience scaling IT support processes at a growing tech company
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot enterprise technical issues
  • Patient and tactful demeanor; pleasant attitude when assisting employees
  • Incredible organizational and time-management skills
  • Trustworthiness to handle sensitive information
  • Experience implementing a ticketing system or equivalent process for handling support requests
