What this role is about:
RapidSOS is looking for an IT Specialist to join our Corporate IT team and support our growing organization. You’ll be an integral part of our CIT team, and support Tier 1 to Tier 3 technical requests, manage IT onboarding and offboarding of team members, evaluate and partner with vendors, and assist with broader IT projects and goals. This will include support for our corporate headquarter office in New York City and our remote teams across the U.S.
What you’ll do:
Ensure security, reliability and privacy of corporate IT networks, systems and devices.
Work with Information Security team members to ensure compliance with various regulations and laws.
Provide technical support and expertise for CIT related issues and actively manage IT support tickets.
Support RapidSOS employees in their use of their corporate computers, Google Workspace, Okta, multi-factor authentication, Slack, and more.
Develop processes to provide IT support for the growth of the organization.
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repairs, debugging, etc.).
Manage relationships and work with vendors to escalate complex issues when appropriate; evaluation of vendor / supplier proposals.
Collaborate with other departments in order to understand and support business requirements.
Own IT projects and ensure that the solutions are delivered in a timely manner within the resource, budgetary and timeframe requirements.
Ensure that the implementation of new solutions or the implementation of redesigned solutions is done in a quality way, working hand-in-hand with vendors and other internal departments.
Identify opportunities to implement emerging technologies that improve the employee experience.
What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
1+ years of experience in an IT support role
Experience in supporting Windows & macOS, preferably in a startup environment
Experience with a ticketing system (ie. Jira, Zendesk, etc.)
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Understanding of diverse computer systems
Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
Ability to work out of our New York City office when needed
Bonus:
Bachelor’s degree, in Information Technology or Engineering preferred
Experience in supporting Ubuntu Linux workstations is a plus
Bash and powershell scripting skills is a plus
Experience at a start-up eCommerce company is a plus

It's our top priority to offer all of our team members fair and equitable compensation that has been thoroughly researched and benchmarked against market data. The budgeted range starts at $60,000 - $75,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. This does not include equity.
