Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated, adaptable, self-managed and eager to learn IT professional. The ideal candidate must be able to thrive in the midst of constant change, and adapt to the growing needs of the business. As a member of the IT team, this person will be involved in supporting all of our business units, in NY and NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Tier II-III Deskside, Network, Server, Retail, Telecom, and Applications support for a technology development organization
• On call rotation
• Monitor and ensure consistent uptime of WAN Connection, Call Center functionality, corporate, warehouse and all other remote facilities
• Create, update, and follow documentation for IT services
• User provisioning and off boarding
• Logistics and Inventory management
• After hour and some weekend work are expected as required
• Ability to troubleshoot calmly and effectively within tight time constraints

Qualifications:

• Technical degree required
• 5+ years of IT related experience
• Must be able to work independently
• Use ticketing system to document all work
• Excellent customer service
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral, with the ability to explain complex issues in a language easily understood by others
• Support experience for a technology company
• Experience with automated management and deployment (Casper Suite/Jamf, SCCM, WSUS and Ghost)
• Scripting (Powershell, Bash) knowledge
• AD management and Group Policy creation
• On call rotation
• Extensive hardware knowledge
• Flex schedule as the business requires
• Maintain and deploy variety of HID devices including: thermal printers, imagers and scanners
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft/Apple/Linux Desktop and Server Operating systems. (Win7/10 Win2008 R2/OSX/Ubuntu)
• Fully adept with Microsoft Office suite
• Strong knowledge of JAMF
• Understanding of network infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, switches
• TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/SSH/Telnet/FTP knowledge
