A successful support specialist promotes a collaborative and communicative culture between company staff and Engineering by providing automation, productivity tools and connectivity in support of productivity, risk reduction, and growth. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Macintosh support with familiarity in Windows environments. Above all, they have a strong focus on customer service in supporting our internal and external customers.


This role is on a full-time Monday through Friday schedule, after a 6-8 week indoctrination.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Systemize all the things (even our one-offs are automated)
  • Become proficient in understanding how each software component, system design, and configuration is linked together to form an end-to-end solution
  • Align IT requirements with the capabilities of the infrastructure
  • Support corporate efforts related to information security, regulatory compliance, and protection of company and customer data assets.
  • Project future infrastructure needs and offer solutions
  • Participate in the design, implementation and ongoing management of information management systems.
  • Manage infrastructure and development issues related to day to day corporate operations
  • Serve on an on-call team and as an escalation contact for service trouble incidents
  • Design optimizations to meet the scalability and performance needs of the organization
  • Manage life-cycle of computer inventory, as well as additional hardware (monitors, mice and keyboards etc.)
  • Partner with vendors on hardware ordering to scale accordingly with demand.

ABOUT YOU

  • 2+ years experience of Macintosh administration, configuration, and in-depth troubleshooting of Macintosh end-user systems
  • Experience with Microsoft systems and software products
  • Familiarity with mobile devices and their use
  • Hands-on experience with common Internet systems and Technologies
  • Practical knowledge of networking for Internet applications and use
  • Customer-centric attitude
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Willingness to learn and apply new technology
  • Ability to work Saturday schedule
