Director of Content Management

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Director of Content Management is responsible for:

  • Ensuring the stable distribution of product-related information over multiple channels of publication/distribution
  • Evangelizing available content sets and their accessibility, both internally and externally
  • Managing content writers in generating new product knowledge/information, moderating new user or developer-generated content in ZenDesk/Confluence knowledge bases, publishing content over agreed upon distribution channels
  • Ensuring documentation provided to internal and external clients is continually improving, expanding, and constantly maintained in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Actively identify, collect, and organize corporate knowledge assets
  • Ensuring information provided to internal and external clients remains relevant while continually evaluating the information provided to stay ahead of the needs of our clients. managing corporate knowledge bases content library
  • Liaisoning with organizational leaders, champions, and SMEs in organizing, managing, and delivering on documentation/content management initiatives
  • Delivering on corporate KPIs related to content management with agreed upon metrics (if relevant)

Responsibilities

  • Help to continually grow and expand online information provided to:
    • External clients seeking self-service opportunities
    • Service Desk to Service Desk integrations where we assist our clients with providing their own support to their internal employees
    • Maintenance and curation of corporate knowledge assets (e.g., knowledge bases).
    • Provide consultation and guidance on internal documentation that has grown and evolved over time to ensure it remains relevant and valuable.
  • Work with internal StrongArm teams to create a range of customer content including help articles, solution guides, and release notes.
  • Work with StrongArm teams and business leaders to integrate corporate systems and develop system solutions that optimize content management and delivery.
  • Help ensure go-to-market campaigns and releases are documented to the various levels to support our clients

Qualifications

  • MBA, MSIS, or other relevant degree in CS/IS
  • 5+ years' of technical and knowledge management experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with specific, and at times, competing deadlines
  • Proven ability to liaison with executive/upper management pursuant to manage corporate content assets (as related to product and support knowledge and information) in support of business needs
  • Ability to understand technical materials and concepts at a level necessary to document information for those of various technical skillsets (from non-technical users through very technical users looking to better support their own needs).
