A Better opportunity:
Better is looking to hire a Lead SOC Analyst to join our security team. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our current security infrastructure.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform technical analysis on a wide range of cybersecurity issues, with a focus on network activity and data loss prevention.
- Document key event details and analytic findings in analysis reports and incident management systems.
- Utilize open-source threat & vulnerability information with data collected from sensors across the enterprise into cohesive and comprehensive analysis.
- Produce and update technical analysis documentation on a regular basis.
- Triage security tooling alerts, collect related data from various network analysis systems, review available open and closed source information on related threats & vulnerabilities, diagnose observed activity for likelihood of system infection, compromise or unintended/high-risk exposure.
- Lead incident response efforts and build out the program.
About You:
- 3 years minimum experience in the information security field
- 3 years experience with security detection tools SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management etc.
- Build out and improve upon processes, procedures, and policies
- Work with external SOC as a point of escalation
- Define tool requirements to improve SOC capabilities
- Experience with public Cloud Native APIs (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google)
- Experience working in Financial industry a plus
- Investigate and resolve anomalies and events.
- Assist with maintaining and enhancing the current security infrastructure.
- Assist with network security evaluations and enhancements.
