The role:

As the Learning and Development Operations Manager you will work with the Head of L&D, and the training and development team, along with other stakeholders to manage the development and delivery of training programs across Cityblock. You will be involved throughout the full spectrum of training and development, from onboarding and training, to ongoing education for the team, leading the operational components, and , working with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with Cityblock’s mission, goals and objectives. You will bring your attention to detail and project management skills to successfully support and execute project plans, regional training mapping and logistics, internal L&D development conferences, and offsite L&D event planning. You will provide support across a variety of learning modalities including classroom training, virtual training, and e-learning self-studies. You will lean in to support the development of Cityblock’s Learning and Development strategy as we scale. You will:

    • Ensure that L&D organizational goals and strategy are well-documented and centralized to drive decision-making
    • Maintain urgency by ensuring there is strong collaboration within multiple parts of the organization who may have competing priorities
    • Provide visibility and transparency into L&D initiatives across the company. Ensure this cross-functional work is well-communicated and internalized
    • Serve as an internally recognized specialist in learning and development and use in-depth project management experience to move initiatives to completion within tight deadlines
    • Lead the vendor management process in collaboration with instructional design/curriculum manager
    • Track expense trends, costs associated with training courses as well as individual budgets, invoicing and reporting
    • Complete and maintain training catalogs, course descriptions and global calendars in the Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Introduce trends in training and development for inclusion into Cityblock’s overall training strategy and individual training development plans
    • Manage multiple project schedules and stakeholders, applying expertise in eLearning authoring tools and coaching to implement adult learning theory for wide modalities, including online learning, mobile, videos, and microlearning
    • Develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and business unit leads
    • Develop performance improvement initiatives based on skills building, outcomes, efficiencies, new care model development, new technology development, and learning needs.
    • Prioritize projects based on need, resource availability, and impact

  • You have 4+ years’ experience with managing large-scale programs focused on learning and development and human capital or people programs
  • You are charismatic, engaging, dynamic, creative, and accessible
  • You have experience in event coordination for offsite and onsite learning and development programs
  • You have proven experience in coordinating training programs, such as managing registration, program and event management
  • You have experience presenting to and interacting with stakeholders in a consultative manner and as a leader in a collaborative environment
  • You have strong strategic and critical thinking to identify interdependencies between issues, processes, data, and outcomes
  • You have the desire to contribute to a learning and evolving model of care, and a quickly growing staff
  • You are excited about how technology can support your work and help drive the ongoing evaluation toward new and better care
  • You can travel periodically

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Experience in a technology-enabled healthcare setting
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite
  • Experience using hosting webinars (Zoom, Web-Ex, Skype)
