Virtuoso member agency is actively looking for a Luxury Travel Advisor to join their leisure travel team.

The agency is a private, membership-based luxury travel company for CEOs, business owners, entrepreneurs and leaders in a variety of fields. The agency's members, who are interviewed before acceptance, are the highest spending and most sophisticated travelers in the market. The agency is set up to be the one place where our members and their families plan and book all of their leisure travel.

As a members-only community, prospective members must apply and be accepted to join. The agency is focused on maintaining a diverse, high-quality membership base.

The Role

As a Luxury Travel Advisor, you will be at the core of the group, and must be well-versed execution of various high-end travel arrangements including luxury hotel reservations, DMC itinerary creation, concierge arrangements and crafting personalized leisure experiences.

You will work with and support the Director of Travel Services with the execution of their members’ travel plans; do research on hotels, destinations, routing options etc. based on what type of trip the member is interested in after initial/second conversation. Once the Director of Travel Services has guided the member to their chosen destination, that’s when you jump in and spearhead the work with ground partners, suppliers, hotels, etc. They also serve as the lead point of contact for any travel related concierge logistics, and are in contact with the members directly.

The right candidate must have experience working within the travel industry in any capacity, but ideally in a travel advisor or junior travel advisor role in the luxury space. The candidate must have super strong attention to detail, a keen ability to multi-task, excellent prioritization skills, and a self-sufficient, go-getter attitude that can take ownership of trips. Large growth potential for the right candidate.

Compensation is based on experience, with a salary range $60-65K base + bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Director of Travel Services planning custom itineraries and unique travel experiences globally. 
  • Manage the operational workflow between the team for members’ travel arrangements.
  • Research, recommend, and execute travel reservations with skill, ease and confidence.
  • Tap your love for travel; provide targeted travel intelligence and advice tailored to each specific members' needs.
  • Be proactive & creative; seek out solutions off the books when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • You have 3+ years of experience planning luxury travel either as an independent contractor or employee.
  • You have excellent taste & product knowledge. You understand the nuances, i.e the difference between the Connaught and the Beaumont in London.
  • You are well-versed working with luxury hotels, first & business class air, destination management companies, etc.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to deliver a great client experience with ease and grace.
  • You have a sophisticated understanding of a high-end consumer’s lifestyle and travel trends.
  • Your friendly and vivacious personality shines through with your excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Sabre GDS Knowledge is a plus.
