The company was launched after Brett’s battle to cure his dog’s stomach issues illustrated how processed and un-healthy even “organic” and “natural” pet food truly was. After testing every pet food on the market without success, Brett resorted to a fresh, home-cooked diet at his vet’s recommendation. The results were staggering — Jada was cured. Once he realized how powerful and healthy fresh food can be, he team up with Jonathan to develop a fresh alternative to pet food and create the product they wished existed for their own dogs (and dogs everywhere).

THE ROLE
Our operations team is at the core of everything we do at The Farmer's Dog. This key role in the organization is central to our group's discipline around data-driven decision making and integral to driving how the business evaluates, prioritizes, tracks, measures and executes against strategic and business initiatives. You'll report to and work closely with the Head of Operations helping to prioritize and plan key projects to ensure the team meets its business goals. This is an amazing opportunity and role that interfaces with nearly every business leader and integrates into nearly every business function and aspect of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and measure operational performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques across logistics, customer experience and finance
- Create, manage and automate operational reports and dashboards to monitor the performance of our business line and specific projects
- Work cross functionally across the organization to identify initiatives to decrease churn, increase operational efficiency and execute the strategic vision
- Develop detailed Key Action project plans from strategic high-level initiative
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, finance and business heads to build, refine and/or maintain centralized systems and data "pipes" by which the business reports, measures and runs the business
- Ownership and insight on operational margin and excellence
- Identify process issues that affect project teams and surface to Systems and Operations department
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5+ years of related experience, management consulting, logistics, finance
- Must know SQL, deeply quantitative, and analytical
- Experience in driving cost reduction and continuous improvement activities to meet cost and service targets
- Work with a high sense of urgency and be adept at prioritizing your time
