SeatGeek is poised to grow at an incredible rate, all in the pursuit of our ambition to transform the live-event experience for fans, teams and venues. We believe that our people are our most important asset, and transparency is key to maintaining the culture we’ve worked hard to build.

We’re now looking for a Manager, Internal Communications to own transparency across our growing team. The right person for this role pairs exceptional creativity with effective project management, someone who can both brainstorm and execute.

You will unite our global team around our business objectives and facilitate understanding across disparate offices and teams. You'll manage several SeatGeek communications platforms and programs, including bi-weekly global all-hands meetings, company update emails, and offsites. You will work closely with the CEO and his team, and lead initiatives on a global scale, across all SeatGeek teams. Your impact will be magnified every day, and multiplied as our team expands.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a strategic internal and executive communications plan: You will align internal and executive messaging with the company’s vision, mission and positioning; translating strategy into messages and activities that are relevant across all types of employees
  • Ensure that key initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
  • Develop and manage a range of communication channels to most effectively deliver messages to different audiences; partnering closely with senior leadership across departments to develop communications that build engagement and a positive, transparent culture within the company
  • Own key internal knowledge bases, including our internal company wiki, ensuring accuracy and consistency of tone and style across the organization
  • Guide senior leadership on the manner in which messages and key themes are communicated to ensure consistency and clarity
  • Establish feedback loops and constantly optimize to ensure we are using the most effective communications approaches
  • Partner with Chief of Staff and office of CEO on other key company initiatives as needed

Who you are

  • 4+ years of work experience; at least 2 in a communications role and ideally experience in internal communications
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees. Ability to write for the voice and style of CEO and other executives
  • Superior organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills (google slides) and experience with video presentations
  • Keenly aware of Company goals and values coupled with the ability to relay them clearly to employees
  • Experience creating communications for a diverse and global audience
  • Ability to push internal communication tools to the next level
  • An eye for design with exceptional attention to detail
  • Comfortable multi-tasking; can self-prioritize tasks to achieve deadlines
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
  • A decisive thinker capable of marrying past experiences with fresh thinking
  • Goal-oriented, cool under pressure, and bend towards continuous improvement

Perks

  • Equity stake
  • Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you’d like or 100% remotely
  • A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
  • Flexible PTO
  • Up to 16 weeks of paid family leave
  • 401(k) matching program
  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
  • Annual subscriptions to Headspace, Ginger.io, and One Medical
  • $120 a month to spend on tickets to live events
  • Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music

An Insider's view of SeatGeek

What are some social events your company does?

The importance of gathering is baked into our DNA at SeatGeek! We always take time to celebrate milestones together, whether in person or virtually, and, while we throw an amazing End of Year party, my favorite events are a little more personal! We empower employees to create their own social events from fitness classes to crafting or or tv nights!

Workplace & People Programs Manager

What projects are you most excited about?

An ongoing project I am excited about is the redesign of one of the core flows in our app. It is a high impact, cross functional initiative and I love how we’ve been able to implement a new technical foundation, introduce new features, and improve the user experience. I’m looking forward to the initial release and gathering insights from consumers!

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

We encourage teams to solve problems and create delightful customer experiences, not implement pre-defined solutions. Our teams leverage research/data to understand our customers needs and behaviors, but we also believe that giving teams the space to be creative during a discovery phase opens the possibilities of what they can come up with.
