Manager, Inventory Operations
The Role
The Manager, Inventory Operations will play a crucial role in our growing supply chain – driving efforts to ensure transactional integrity throughout our systems and processes. As the leader of the Inventory Operations team, you will be creating new processes, onboarding them into the team’s workflows, and driving to continuously improve these processes to give an accurate picture of our supply chain performance and inventory position. You will be held accountable for leading, developing and engaging our talented Inventory Ops team - creating objective performance measurements and setting aggressive targets while motivating and coaching the team to become the best leaders they can be. As a strategic leader, you understand the need for alignment in people, process, and technology but are happy to roll up your sleeves when things don’t go according to plan. You will lead by example, leveraging your previous experience in the day to day management of supply chain operations and always put your team first when it comes to making tough decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Inventory & Transactional Operations
- Develop Standard Operating procedures working with cross-functional teams, train employees in inventory & transactional control processes and operate as a point of escalation when required
- Review new programs to determine required operational support, define resourcing needs and plan to onboard new processes into the team
- Define Key Performance Indicators for managing daily operations and set aggressive targets that stretch the team to create new ways of working
- Determine and manage reporting cadences for inventory accuracy and process non-compliance; creating programs to drive improvements where required
- Lead the team in capturing and analyzing inventory & transactional variances across the Peloton network – ensure team performs required root cause analysis process to ensure trouble areas are monitored and eliminated
- Ensure effective use of resources in managing transactional compliance and inventory accuracy
- Lead the team to define and operate in a SOX compliant manner, participating in audits when necessary and working to ensure necessary requirements are met by the team’s processes
- Report to Senior Management on efficacy of current efforts to drive improvements, presenting the progress and any issues at an actionable level
Be a champion for the team and best practices – Drive Accuracy and Organizational Clarity regarding Inventory
- Engage with Cross-functional teams to ensure there is a clear understanding of where to find business critical information and who to contact in exception scenarios
- Participate in projects related to the Peloton inventory & transactional systems in order to provide guidance and assess impact to the team – create new processes and associated management metrics working alongside internal business partners, IT project managers and 3PL partners

- Coach the team in Best in Class operations management practices and expect high performance
- Mentor, train, and develop team members in career progression, performance improvement, and provide coaching and guidance when the need arises
Qualifications
- 5+ years of supply chain & logistics experience
- 2+ Years managing direct reports to results oriented objectives
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain concepts and financial acumen
- Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to manage within a matrixed organization
- Clear communicator with keen ability to present findings in succinct presentations; experience with executive communications
- A bias towards action, and exceptional follow-through
- Strong quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated use of data analysis and metrics to drive decision making and continuous improvement
- Ability to organize resources effectively, determine priorities and get work done
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment, managing multiple work areas in parallel
- Adaptability and comfort with change is critical
- Experience with Supply Chain Systems are a big plus - including but not limited to ERP systems, Transportation Management Systems, Quality Management Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence internal and external customers to get results
