What is the Position?

In this role, you will work with the front-line team that is responsible for conducting outbound phone outreach to confirm provider data, assist in risk adjustment efforts, and perform other special projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that this outreach is performed in an efficient and professional manner by monitoring key metrics, partnering with stakeholders to drive performance improvements, and working cross-functionally to implement needed process changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large team of outsourced provider services specialists
  • Build an excellent understanding of the provider services workflows and operating systems (tools, phone system, workforce management, dashboards) and how they come together to create our outbound provider experience
  • Build a plan to improve the performance of our business & begin executing on operational initiatives for the future such as:
    • Workflow evaluation and redesign to improve productivity and data capture success rates
    • Internal feedback mechanisms which result in process & product improvement
    • Implementation of new systems / technology that improve the efficiency of the team (example: auto-dialer)
    • Ongoing management and evaluation of outsourced partner
  • Become a critical source of support for the provider services team and deliver solid data-driven recommendations for process & business performance enhancements
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve the efficiency, transparency, and quality of provider service
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver additional impact across the business

About you:

  • 4+ years of experience in operations, customer service, or a contact center. Experience in healthcare, or working with or on behalf of hospital systems a strong plus.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills as well as strong Excel and SQL skills
  • You use data and analysis to make decisions and to influence others. You value the role of analytics in decision making.
  • Comfortable with workflows, process improvement, and lean/efficient management approach.
  • You thrive in ambiguous work environments and love rolling up your sleeves and being scrappy. You are willing to write the playbook for your role.
  • You are a strong team player, a natural people leader, and have a high degree of flexibility.
  • Strong interpersonal interactions (e.g. partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.) and open to giving/receiving constructive feedback
  • Providing exceptional service is a personal passion, and shows in every aspect of your work

A plus…

  • Experience working in a leadership capacity with front-line operators
  • Knowledge of health care, health insurance, and provider data
