Joining Collibra’s Service Operations and Resilience (SOaR) team:

Collibra is seeking an intelligent and forward-thinking infrastructure professional to join the Collibra Security Office (CSO). This exciting new role within the Security Engineering and Operations team will help you define the future of secure service operations. With data becoming the new most valuable resource, companies are leveraging platforms like Collibra to leverage their data’s value in a unified way.


As a Manager, Service Operations and Resilience, Cloud Platforms, you will lead the establishment of the next generation of secure delivery of infrastructure at Collibra. You will help identify gaps and engineer solutions to achieve our future state. This position plays an integral role in defining and assessing the organization's multi-cloud strategy, architecture, and practices, as well as contributes to maturing the company's cloud platform architecture and technology frameworks.

Service Operations Manager’s at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Building and leading a new team dedicated to the development of specifications across cloud infrastructure that implement agile, multi-cloud SaaS, reducing tech debt across the tech stack and building for a future, cloud-native architecture.
  • Working closely with geographically distributed Product, Engineering, and Security teams on technical challenges and process improvements.
  • Collaborating with the teams to establish and mature standards and integration for infrastructure management.
  • Identifying and implementing standard tooling to reduce complexity and measure operational goals for increasing automation across the enterprise.
  • Developing, and ensuring compliance with, controls built for a cloud-native enterprise.
  • Planning, organizing, and controlling multiple responsibilities and sometimes competing requests to achieve desired objectives.
  • Additional tasks include supporting the team during security incidents and investigations; working with broad teams to advance the security posture of Collibra.

You Have:

  • Minimum of 3 years leading a cloud infrastructure / cloud engineering team.
  • Minimum of 5 years cloud infrastructure / cloud engineering experience across a wide range of disciplines.
  • Extensive experience running a large fleet of cloud VM’s.
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, in one or more of AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, configuration management like Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of building and deploying within regulatory requirements and/or frameworks (i.e.: FedRAMP, SOC2, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001/2, etc.)
  • Expert communication and organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated and driven with an ability to execute with little supervision.
  • Eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Familiar with security by design principles, and helping educate other technical engineers how to build security into their processes.
  • Agile-minded, optimistic, passionate, and pragmatic about delivering valuable software to customers.
  • Accustomed to a fast paced environment.
  • A US Citizen based in the United States.

Measuring Success:

  • Within your first month, you will absorb fundamental knowledge about Collibra processes/tools and start building team & cross-functional relationships.
  • Within your third month, you will take ownership of one or more key infrastructure platforms, and develop and achieve quarterly OKRs (Objectives & Key Results)
  • Within your sixth month, you will drive for consistent, repeatable, documented processes for security-driven infrastructure, improve efficiency and hand off for ongoing operations, and improve customer satisfaction.
