About the role:

Birchbox is looking for a Manager, Subscription Operations and Technology for our US businesses to ensure that all subscribers receive a personalized, on-time, monthly delivery. We are looking for a cross-functional problem solver who is a self-starter, obsessed with the details, reasonably technical, and committed to creating an exceptional customer experience.

This person will use, and help to build and iterate on, our sophisticated proprietary systems to ensure that boxes are shipped on time every month and are filled with personalized samples for each customer. They will also maintain and implement various subscription initiatives across multiple teams.
You will report to the Director, Box Experience and be an important member of our lean, fast-moving, and innovative team where your ideas will be implemented and impact customer experience and company success.

 Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop our subscription operations team and function, and lead monthly box assortment & allocation
  • Serve as the business owner for subscription-related tech projects, and project manage new subscription initiatives
  • Own bi-weekly operations SLA dashboard & partner with cross-functional teams to improve all metrics
  • Partner with tech team to drive operations automations and warehouse projects
  • Maintain Operations monthly cost dashboard & identify cost efficiency opportunities
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Merchandising and Planning to ensure boxes are built and ship on time
  • Be the owner of and technical expert for our proprietary assortment and allocation technology

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in business operations, project management, and/or strategy consulting. Ecommerce operations experience a plus.
  • More than a little technical - working familiarity with Python, Ruby, or R - but not a software engineer. A coding assessment is part of the interview process. Comfortable with writing SQL queries to get the data you need and in the technical analysis of that data.
  • A proven ability to partner cross-functionally to achieve objectives, particularly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and to identify, prioritize, articulate, and align support for the highest impact initiatives
