As part of the People & Workplace team Justworks is seeking a Manager, Workplace who has the passion and the drive to ensure that our physical space reflects the success and culture of Justworks and enables our people to execute as an organization. Ideally, you will have experience in a previous workplace related role and people management experience. You will manage our operations in our current office, support a hybrid working environment and support the strategy and execution of our expanding Workplace needs. Our team is responsible for ensuring that Justworks continues to be one of the best places to work!
Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work On
- Partner and develop strong relationships with all key business partners e.g. IT, Legal, Finance, Marketing and People team.
- Manage ambiguity and potential change management related to Justworks Return to Office program among leadership and the Workplace team.
- Develop, coach and lead a Workplace team that is ready to execute to a high standard of operational excellence.
- Retain the team’s talent through successful on-boarding, coaching and developing personal growth conversations and opportunities.
- Drive excellence in our day-to-day business, identify technology and process gaps and ensure decisions are data driven.
- Scale our services to support the future growth of the organization and improve our collaboration with key vendors and internal business partners.
- Ensure we have the best in class suppliers for our offices and implement vendor management best practices with a lens towards diversity and inclusion. Proactively partner with key vendors and operate a thorough KPI and SLA structure to ensure continued service improvement.
- Monitor ticketing systems and ensure all tickets are answered and resolved to our standards. Oversee the metrics and reporting, strategically developing new ways to optimize our software investment.
- Lead and support a wide range of long-term projects to improve the day-to-day operations of the office including CapEx projects.
- Oversee internal event logistics and support for both in person and virtual experience such as Employee Appreciation Day, Volunteer Week, monthly Camaraderie activities and ERG’s events.
- Other duties as needed based on department and/or organizational needs.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Facilities Management; preferably in a fast-growing start-up environment
- Minimum of 3 years of experience successfully managing, coaching and developing a team
- Minimum of 2 years of budget management experience, financial forecasting, and great vendor negotiation skills
- Visual and architectural ambition for fun, clean and functional design that enables collaboration and customer service
- Experience building out and moving an office of at least 200+ employees
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
- Passion for facilities management, office operations, and best in class workplace culture
- Knowledge of OSHA, building, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems
- Willingness and ability to adjust working hours to meet the needs of the business and team
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of walking or sitting at a desk and/or working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
