ABOUT THE ROLE
As the first person on the team solely responsible for US expansion, you will be directly contributing to increasing the acceptance rate in the US, decreasing the top-up cost in the US, you will own the vendor relationship, and drive business development with local partners
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Managing vendor relationship with existing and future acquirers
• Seeking out a secondary acquirer to integrate in the US
• Investigating and fixing problems affecting acceptance rateImproving UI/UX of card top-ups for US users
• Implementing alternative top-up methods
• Being a point of contact for Mastercard and Visa in the US market
• Working with developers to implementing bug fixes, new features and new integrations for US
WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL NEED
• You have graduated with at least a 2:1 in a STEM degree from a top university & have 2+ years of work experience in a fast-paced environment
• You have experience leading software development projects and working with developers (experience with card acceptance and optimising acceptance is a plus)
• You can break complex problems into smaller ones and enjoy working with data to facilitate your work using such tools as SQL or Python
• You are curious by nature and interested in making an impact
• You can demonstrate this through various projects you have been involved in
• You can make a good business case and convince people to help you execute
