NowThis is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the day to day operations of a daily live morning news show. Working with the #1 video news brand on the social web, you’ll be creating content for the social, mobile generation by informing, entertaining and inspiring our audience about what’s happening and important.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and Manage all day to day show schedule and daily workflow
• Oversee tech and production needs for daily news show including oversight and maintenance of budget, hiring of crew, and overseeing all tech needs for a daily live news show
• Work with Head of Production on capital and operational budget development
• Understanding of digital news gathering and experience with social media platforms
• Must be knowledgeable about social media and the competitive digital news environment
• Monitor new and emerging technologies and evaluate how those technologies can enhance and streamline news workflows
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate services
• Conduit to Legal and Finance on daily operations

Qualifications:

• 5+ years physical production management ideally in a live or live to tape environment
• Strong experience with production budgets, crew rates, production and market trends
• Desire to develop systems and tools to help manage production and workflow
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and dynamic situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
