WHAT'S THE ROLE?
Our supply chain team is at the core of everything we do at The Farmer's Dog. As the strategic leader of our supply chain team to our manufacturing, fulfillment, and logistics partners you will be laying the foundation for our quickly-growing business. We are looking for an operations leader specializing in DTC fulfillment who can assist in building a framework for a strong operational business and incredible customer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead our supply chain operations; primary contact and liaison for manufacturing, fulfillment, and carriers. Managing numerous initiatives and priorities across all facets of business
- Self-starter who knows there’s always more to be done and no time to waste in a fast-growing business; better pricing, new vendors and partners to scope, driving efficiency
Building processes from the ground up, driving strategic initiatives, and managing our partners including for new product lines and company-wide initiatives
- Lead a growing team who manages our day-to-day supply chain issues and initiatives
- Combine in-depth analysis with hands-on learning to drive improvements across different parts of our supply chain that strengthen our infrastructure and add value to customers
- Spend time in our manufacturing and fulfillment centers as we launch new initiatives (20% travel)
- Benchmark current state KPIs to identify process improvement opportunities and utilize data to understand the scope, impact, and priority of projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of related experience or equivalent in logistics and transportation
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
- Experience in driving cost reduction and continuous improvement activities to meet cost and service targets
- Experience in managing 3PL relationships and carrier management
- Process-oriented, deeply quantitative, and analytical
- Work with a high sense of urgency and be adept at prioritizing your time
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to liaise with all aspects of the business
- Passion for disrupting a broken industry and creating a trustworthy brand for pets across the world
