Operations at BCGDV

Our Operations team is the internal force that drives our business forward. It’s where organizational insight meets operational excellence. From Human Resources and Information Technology to Marketing and Finance, they are a dedicated group of one-of-a-kind problem-solvers with a deep commitment to world-class business services. 

 

The Operations Manager is expected to produce a smooth, day-to-day operation focused on service, excellence and business acumen, and to help build and reinforce a positive, close-knit office culture. They will be responsible for the general management of the office and for managing the office’s Operations and Venture Operations employees. The Operations Manager is also expected to assist in building a well-functioning and regionally aligned DV Center, helping to articulate and execute DV strategies in NY as appropriate.

The Operations Manager functions as a senior office and operations leader for the BCG Digital Ventures (DV) NY center and serves as the “right hand” to leadership providing management, thought partnership, and operational leverage in NYC.

As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee center operations and venture operations support within center
  • Leadership of IT Helpdesk, Center Projects, Client Services, Admin Services & Office Services Teams
  • Project Manage Real Estate improvements and build-outs if relevant 
  • Ensure venture operations support for all live ventures including compliance, security, admin support etc. in line with region wide processes 
  • Manage relevant risk policies including emergency alert systems, first aid and other relevant workplace health & safety concerns
  • Help collect and organize data in a manner to guide leadership decision making 
  • Be the principal liaison between DV NYC / LA and BCG NYC / LA on all business operations and management initiatives and integration with BCG.

Preferred experience:

  • At least 7 years proven operations management experience in a professional services or tech environment 
  • Extensive people management experience with ability to manage high performing teams. 
  • Proven experience in a similar role with Administration, Operational, and budget management responsibilities
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with C-Suite level and Executive stakeholders 
  • Financial management experience including setting and managing budgets as well as basic analysis
  • Facilities management experience preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Previous client facing experience 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to navigate complexity while driving impactful outcomes
  • Experience managing an IT function beneficial
