Partner Creative Strategist
The Role
BuzzFeed is looking for a customer facing creative strategist to support BuzzFeed's Partner Innovation team. As the Partner Creative Strategist, you will lead in the ideation and creation of first-to-market marketing proposals for BuzzFeed’s partner brands, drawing on the numerous disciplines within BuzzFeed’s Commerce division including Affiliate, Experiential, Licensing, Innovation, Operations, and Design. This position is based in our New York office, reporting directly to our Head of Partner Innovation.
You will:
Develop Marketing Solutions beyond Media
Concept never-been-tried before, out of the box, and first-to-market concepts to help BuzzFeed’s brand-partners break through the clutter, connecting with millennial audiences well beyond BuzzFeed.
Collaborate and ideate with the Head of Partner Innovation in the creation of proactive and strategic new proposals for potential partners.
Partner with Brand Strategy (sales) in client meetings in selling through BuzzFeed Partner Innovation solutions and strategy.
Ensure feasibility of execution by vetting proper approvals through appropriate internal teams.
Serve as the client’s primary point of contact for the execution of the program.
Coordinate and take an active role in meetings with internal partners and external clients.
Account Management
Serve as the client’s primary point of contact for the program while meeting and exceeding client expectations.
Oversee program from ideation phase through post-launch phase of project life-cycle.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis for clients projects.
Collaborate with BuzzFeed Creative, Operations and other cross-functional teams to manage and launch custom BuzzFeed products and solutions for clients.
Partner with cross functional teams to develop launch/go to market strategy for program.
Monitor and optimize program performance and delivery by working with Distribution, Market and other cross-functional teams.
Provide weekly reporting and associated analyses of program performance. Offer solutions as needed.
You have:
Minimum 5 years experience working in a creative or client services role at either an brand/creative agency or product company.
Demonstrate a high level of creativity, willingness to experiment, and track record of ideas that win.
Great customer-facing skills, with the ability to lead brand-partners effectively through every phase of campaigns from ideations through execution, wrap-up and reporting.
Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with client interfacing role.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Keynote, and Google Docs.
