What does it mean to be an Operations Specialist at Invisible Technologies?

The right Operations Specialist doesn’t need this job description, and won’t wake up in the morning with the thought “I am an Operations Specialist at Invisible Technologies,” but with the thought: “Have we taken over the world yet?” The right person already called me and told me these words:

If operations deliver, this company will take over the world. I want to be part of the team that takes over the world. I will help build you an organization that gets better, faster and cheaper every month.

I might be young, freshly out of college (maybe I didn’t even finish or start college!) but I am hungry and driven and want to create something of real, lasting value. Every week I will report on our progress in painstaking detail. I will create novel solutions to tricky problems. I will be innovative, scrappy, clever, impassioned. The bottom line is relentless execution. If I don’t know something, I will ask. Repeatedly. Until I know everything there is to learn about Operations and I’m running the department.

I am able to think in levels: meta, macro, micro. I can go up the scale or go down. I can take a framework that’s in place and think through the implementation details. I can extrapolate. I know what Invisible wants. I can listen to it. Tell me your strategy and I will propose tactics. I am your Lieutenant, and I will charge until we achieve victory.

Skills We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience leading small groups
• Passionate desire to create and manage a world-class technology company
• Customer service sensibilities, experience in this area is.
• Tech savvy. We are looking for a broad background in operations and/or technology development.
• You’ve probably spent a lot of time dreaming growing up. You’re smart. You might not fit the status quo. You ask big questions and expect complex nuanced answers.
• You were never the teacher’s pet, you were the teacher’s headache. You want to know WHY and HOW and won’t rest until you’ve figured it out.
• Can articulate ideas concisely, clearly, and creatively
