About the role.
The Payor Operations Lead will support in building an entirely new line of business within a startup that has great resources and is in hypergrowth. The ideal candidate is an agile thinker with the ability to create innovative solutions to long-standing, old industry problems. This is your opportunity to craft Lively’s health plan reimbursement strategy from scratch. This position reports directly to the Director of Care Operations.
What you’ll do.
- Build matrix of health plan specific requirements across payors
- Develop well oiled machine for helping both Lively and our customers seek insurance reimbursement
- Engage with insurance companies to help research different requirements and billing strategies across different lines of business and payors
- Provide insight into operational changes required to support both in-network and out-of-network insurance reimbursement
- Assess payor & regulatory landscape to help Lively determine how its business model needs to change to support state-by-state requirements for insurance reimbursement
- Lead overall insurance billing and reimbursement strategy and operations
- Launch insurance team
- Create training program on insurance billing and reimbursement strategy to set up team for scale
What you’ll bring.
- Degree or demonstrated skill in insurance billing and reimbursement at a Payor
- 5 + years experience working in a Payor’s claims department, a healthcare company, or a risk-based provider services company
- Incredibly strong project management and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated, organized and accountable, with ability to balance time and juggle multiple projects through to completion
- Detailed-oriented, critical thinker that thrives in ambiguity and constant change
- Ability to synthesis information quickly, distill important takeaways and tell a compelling story
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
