Payroll Support Manager
Check is a payroll-as-a-service API that lets you embed payroll directly in your vertical SaaS, HR, or time-tracking platform. Our API abstracts away the complexities of running payroll: tax calculation, remittance, and filing, plus the movement of money between companies and employees. This enables companies to easily build fully integrated payroll products to offer to their customers.
At Check, the Payroll Operations team is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll for every company on our platform, every payday. The support function empowers our partners with proactive notifications and robust issue resolution. It is the responsibility of the payroll support manager to ensure a high level of accurate and timely service for all of our partners. In this role you might be asked to train /manage partners (e.g. BPO) to deliver support.
We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative manager to join our team and work closely with our Head of Payroll Operations.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee all partner support requests
- Adhere to SLA’s
- Recruit, coach, and develop Support team members that exemplify our shared values
- Partner with cross functional leaders at Check to build, prioritize and execute against the support roadmap
- Exceed our partner expectations
Many backgrounds could fit this role, but ideal candidates will have some or all of the following:
- Have 5+ years of management experience
- Customer support software experience
- Payroll experience a plus
- Data driven
- Thrive in highly cross-functional organizations
- Customer focus and excellent communication skills
Our team is distributed across the US, with hubs in New York City and San Francisco.
