Job Description
The Physical Security Access Control Manager will be an individual contributor reporting to the Manager, Physical Security Programs. This role will coordinate activities pertaining to physical access control, ensuring access control processes are robust, appropriate, scalable, and when possible automated in order to meet the needs of Global Security, the wider NBCU business, and the requirements of internal and external audits. The appropriate candidate must be ready to assure access control systems and procedures meet the physical security needs of employees, guests, and facilities by managing various policies, protocols, and related audits for the company. This involves the management of security systems, badging protocols, and access levels; working with internal stakeholders and external vendors for input and information; and participating in the review and revision of applicable policies and procedures. The Physical Security Access Control Manager will utilize their knowledge of physical security, risk, audit, and especially access control and visitor management systems, along with excellent technical and organizational skills, to establish and oversee physical access control processes, projects, and audits.
Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and audit processes and protocols related to physical access control, including conducting specialized and regular badge and access reviews and revising related documentation.
  • Coordinate and perform periodic and ad-hoc information gathering, trend analysis, variance analysis, & report generation related to Access Control.
  • Perform extensive reviews of access control-related findings and work with stakeholders to identify root causes and remediation activities.
  • Establish clear reporting products to inform management about access control issues and updates.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with IT, Global Security Operations, stakeholders from across various NBCU businesses, and internal and external auditors.
  • Support other Security Quality program and initiatives as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, System or Network Administration, Security Management, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressively advanced experience with physical security technologies, focused on access control system management, processes, and audit
  • Advanced expertise with the Lenel access control system, and at least one visitor management system, preferably HID SAFE
  • Experience managing complex processes and technologies with geographically dispersed stakeholders
  • Experience in analyzing large data sets, identifying problem areas, and making persuasive remediation recommendations
  • Significant experience with physical security operations and terminology
  • Experience in project coordination, including the ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt to changes
  • Excellent communications skills, especially the ability to effectively present to various groups and break down complicated concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Desire to have a positive attitude, have a mindset oriented towards customer service, and join a flexible cross-functional team that supports one another's projects and initiatives
  • Must be willing to live/work in the greater New York City or Los Angeles area in a hybrid in-office/WFH capacity
  • Security, Technology, or Risk Certifications, e.g., CPP, CISA, CAMS, CIAM, CRMP
  • Travel up to 15%


Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000; not bonus eligible and not long-term incentive eligible.
