The Planning Team is responsible for forecasting demand and managing the Inventory across all BARK business lines. We're obsessed with results, data, process and finding solutions. We work very broadly across virtually all functional groups, including product development, sourcing, finance, product & engineering, growth and logistics. WHO WE’RE LOOKNG FOR:

We are currently looking for a detail oriented, dog-obsessed Planner to support our BARK Eats business. The ideal candidate for this role will be a creative problem solver, master of data analytics and inventory, and of course, dog-obsessed. This role will help us plan and forecast to ensure we have the right  inventory for our customer’s needs. The right candidate will enjoy learning about our unique and growing business and proactively tackling any challenges of scaling new business initiatives in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.

KEY DUTIES:

• Demand forecast: Regularly update data inputs for the demand forecast and the material requirements plan, including safety stock levels, sourcing and replenishment, and available inventory levels 
• Production plan management:  Work closely with the distribution center to communicate production plans, track build performance against plan, and proactively identify/escalate any deviations and potential risks to supply availability 
• Inventory management: Monitor inventory levels across key product categories (Kibble, Toppers, Supplements, Add-on items, Materials/Supplies) on a daily cadence to optimize inventory accuracy, scrap, and replenishment models
• Analytics: Monitor weekly KPIs, including lead time variability and inventory turnover, to proactively escalate any potential areas of inventory risk

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of supply chain planning and analytics experience required, ideally with a subscription-based company. Experience with manufacturing operations is a plus.
• Experience wearing “multiple hats” and proactive problem solving 
• Experience & comfort working with and analyzing large data sets 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

• Expert in Excel, SQL is a plus
• Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Proactive thinker and scrappy, entrepreneurial spirit 
• Must love dogs
