The Team:
We are Datadog's in-house product experts. The technical solutions team enables Datadog's worldwide growth by educating potential clients and ensuring that existing customers are happy and successful. We share our technical and product expertise with customers through demos, presentations, technical evaluations, and ongoing support. Technical solutions is a growing global team that collaborates constantly to share knowledge and continuously advance our technical skillset.
The Opportunity:
A Practice Manager will lead a team of Services Architects and Consultants. They will work with Datadog customers to deliver technical consulting engagements that architect and implement the Datadog solution. Practice Managers ensure that these engagements are executed in a high quality, timely fashion against the engagement specification. They also help shape and build the strategy for delivering these solutions to a variety of customers.
You Will:
- Build and lead a team of Services Architects and Services Consultants
- Oversee the execution of remote and onsite technical engagements with customers and partners
- Manage timeline, utilization, priority and completion of technical engagements
- Collaborate with other teams to provide optimal and complete solutions based on the stakeholder needs
- Create technical tools and artifacts to streamline execution of these engagements
- Work with other Datadog leadership on shaping the consulting delivery offerings
- Collaborate with Datadog’s product management, engineering and technical solutions teams to help identify new features and products
- Continuously evolve best practices to technical product adoption and customer success
- Provide guidance and support to other members of the Technical Solutions team
You Are:
- Previous experience working as a practice manager or other professional services leadership role.
- Someone with exceptional problem solving and communication skills with a deep understanding of business acumen.
- Comfortable with identifying and creating scalable processes when there isn’t one already established.
- Comfortable with managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and have a track record of success
- Knowledgeable of the following cloud technologies : AWS, Azure or GCP
- Comfortable understanding of concepts that use CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes or Rancher etc.)
- Able to sit up to 4 hours, traveling to and from client sites
- Able to travel via auto, train or air up to 50% of the time

- Experience using Datadog and/or other monitoring tools
- Previous experience building scaling teams.
