Why we need you:

The Professional Development Specialist is a key member of the Professional Development Team, responsible for managing professional learning for Schoology clients. In addition, the Professional Development Specialist will be responsible for developing curriculum and delivering professional development around the Schoology platform for clients and Schoology staff and will assist with other team initiatives. A good candidate is self-motivated, articulates themselves well in front of a group of people, has problem solving skills and is quick to learn.

As a Professional Development Specialist, you will:

  • Organize and manage the professional learning life cycle for our clients.
  • Collaborate with the Professional Learning Team on identifying professional development needs for our clients.
  • Manage and maintain projects and programs as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the Client Success team to develop an effective training plan.
  • Deliver professional development via online webinars and/or onsite sessions with clients and staff.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure the success of the training delivered.
  • Assist in documenting and reviewing processes and procedures for the Professional Development Team.
  • Assist in designing and developing curriculum for the Schoology platform.
  • Participate in month end reporting processes for professional development.

In order to succeed in this position, you will have:

  • Master's Degree or relevant experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a training or teaching environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the MS Office and Google platforms.
  • Highly organized with the ability to learn quickly, understand and explain educational and technical information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and communicate information precisely.
  • The ability to develop creative solutions for client needs and company goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; highly motivated and flexible.
  • Works well independently and in a team environment.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work autonomously and manage assignments simultaneously is required.
  • The ability to travel for client and staff training events up to 30% of the time.
  • Experience with Schoology or another LMS is preferred.
