About the Role

Common is hiring a Property Services Coordinator to continue our work delivering a great member experience. As we grow our community, the Property Services Coordinator will take point on managing property-related issues.

The Property Services Coordinator is key to our growth. As we add more properties we will field increasing numbers of requests from members, and have to manage more activity in our homes. The goal is to grow the team to meet this challenge while still delivering the same excellent service Common is known for.


The Property Services Coordinator is the glue that holds all this together. Responsible for planning and coordinating activities around the city and making sure the day runs smoothly. You will need to be good at diagnosing and identifying the root cause of their issues, schedule trade partners and work with our in-house property technicians to get things fixed.


The role is key to the delivery of ongoing excellent customer service as we grow. As the business grows you will need to hone your organizational skill set to coordinate trade partners across multiple cities and even time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Manager of Property Services who is responsible for the day to day operation of the Property Service Department.
  • Plan and coordinate administrative and maintenance services for the team as well as manage all trade partners, and the facilitation of the day to day workflow Provide staff training
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new and revised policies and procedures affecting property services
  • Conduct regular inspection of buildings, grounds and equipment to ensure proper repair, facility improvement and preventive maintenance in compliance with program requirements and safety/building codes
  • Maintain an effective work order and prevent maintenance systems
  • Coordinate with on site staff to determine maintenance needsPrepare and maintain appropriate management records such as equipment inventory, building systems descriptions and preventive maintenance checks
  • Prepare and maintain on call schedule for remainder of property services team
  • Responsible for other projects and duties from time to time and based on business needs

Essential Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communicationWorks well under pressure
  • Ruthlessly well organized and efficientGood at prioritizing - you can take a step back and see the big picture as well as immersing yourself in the detail
  • Tech savvy - you will be at the bleeding edge of new technology adoption so you need to pick things up fast
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - there will be a lot of figuring stuff out for the first time and there isn’t necessarily one right answer
  • Experience working with multiple trades
  • Experience troubleshooting issues that may come up in a home
  • Must be open to traveling from property to property as needed

Desired Additional Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in logistics, property management or hospitality
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Asana and Zen Desk
