What We're Looking For:
As the Regional Head of Real Estate - New York, you will rapidly grow our supply of profitable Domio properties by fostering relationships with owners and developers on-the-ground to create customized boutique hotels through master leasing either partial or full buildings. You will also work with our partners to analyze structures for compliance with local requirements and support closing by expediting any regulatory approvals.
At Domio You Will:
- Manage and oversee the Directors of Real Estate in the markets within your region
- Serve as primary deal lead on apart-hotel transactions in your region and collaborate with Directors of Real Estate Investments on transaction execution in your region
- Work with the Real Estate Investments Team at the NYC HQ to develop growth acquisition plans and strategies for your specific region
- Develop and maintain a network of local real estate partners (owners, landlords, brokers, agents) to create a robust supply pipeline of immediate and development opportunities
- Use local real estate knowledge to source developers and real estate owners with suitable development opportunities
- Manage relationships with owners and developers with ongoing correspondence, lease compliance, and conversations of expansion opportunities
- Become fluent in local public policy and existing short-term rental regulations to ensure compliance with the law
- Cultivate positive community relations, while promoting the benefits of partnering with Domio
- Coordinate regularly with the Directors of Real Estate in the markets and the Real Estate Investments Team on market health, opportunities, and underwriting
- Coordinate regularly with the operations, design and project management teams on transaction progress
Who You Are:
- 6-8 years of experience with residential and commercial real estate
- Investment lead, development and / or project management experience as well as transaction sourcing experience required
- Management experience preferred
- Hospitality experience is a plus
- Proven sales experience with a track record of clear communications and comfort speaking with people in-person, over the phone, and via email
- Growth-oriented with a drive to exceed all goals
- Be entrepreneurial - self-driven and motivated
- Effectively manage multiple projects and timelines
- Work well with various teams to accomplish company goals
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have the aptitude and desire to learn new competencies and skills
