What this role is about:
As the Public Safety Regional Manager, you'll be working with Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), State and local public safety officials, and Public Safety Vendor Partners on promoting RapidSOS solutions for delivering location & additional data to where it's needed most: 9-1-1 call-takers and dispatchers who are answering calls and saving lives. You'll be responsible for a regional territory where PSAPs receive access to the RapidSOS NG911 Clearinghouse through software integrations with RapidSOS Public Safety Vendor Partners and our own API(s). Additionally, you will represent the needs and desires of Public Safety in the product development process for new additional data interfaces and services. This is a great opportunity for 9-1-1 business professionals to work in a diverse and dynamic start-up environment, in a company that brings innovation to Public Safety Communications.
What you’ll do:
Communicate frequently with Public Safety Vendor Partners (CPE/911 vendors, CAD vendors, Mapping vendors, NG Core Service Vendors, both ingress/egress data partners etc.)
Liaise with the Customer Success team to provide greater depth and impact in the respective areas of operation, such as new sign-ups, low utilization, JV roll-out, and JBFs
Messaging with State and regional authorities regarding Location Services and ADR opportunities including adoption, training and utilization
Participate in State chapter events through presentations, support, and interactive sessions
Support tactical geofence attainment and roll-out during major events
Support new products/initiatives, working closely with customer ops, CSMs and product team
Participate in major industry conferences and standards development groups (NENA, APCO)
Present at regional public safety speaking engagements to educate the community on technology advancements as RapidSOS offers PSAPs thought leadership on how new commercial technology can be adapted in a Public Safety context
Act as an advisor or consultant to state and regional representatives to provide solutions for emergency response challenges
Schedule, plan, execute and track multiple simultaneous deployments of RapidSOS integrations into PSAP systems (CPE/911, CAD, Map, etc.) across the United States
What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
Thorough understanding operational aspects of a 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP)
In-depth familiarity with CPE/Call-taking, CAD, Mapping and other PSAP technology as well as emerging PS Tech (Text-to-911, NG911 / NENA i3 standard)
Experience in Public Safety business development/sales preferred
Experience in planning and conducting upgrades or replacements of mission-critical systems during ongoing 24x7 operations
Outgoing personality and strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and work remotely / independently
Strong ability to self-start and multitask
Strong, Public Safety centric business acumen
Excitement and passion for a rapidly evolving public safety environment
Adaptable to new workflows and responsibilities
Ability to travel frequently - pending Covid-19 restrictions
Emergency Number Professional Certification preferred
