You will work closely with our Buying Team to support the buying and merchandising function in an administrative capacity. Your primary responsibility will be to support the entire Buying Team and to coordinate with external teams at top menswear brands.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the fashion industry and learn about the buying and merchandising process. This is a part-time role at 20 hours per week, specifically 4 hours per day, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday mornings to early afternoons. This is an entry level role and will report to our Associate Buyer.

You Will

• Manage entire sample procurement process, including:
• Communicate with representatives at Bombfell brands to request, review, approve and track samples
• Collaborate with buying team to identify sample priorities and track impact of sample changes to bulk shipments.
• Work closely with the Merch. team to check-in samples, and ensure monthly launch targets are on track.
• Coordinate with merchandising and creative teams to project photography and processing goals. 
• Execute and track sample returns for defective merchandise
• Pack and return samples regularly to Bombfell’s MA warehouse for selling
• Manage vendor onboarding and contact information maintenance
• Organize and track non-bulk samples sent to Buying Team for consideration
• Maintain vendor paperwork library including linesheets, assortment sheets, and other materials
• Assist in the creation, maintenance and organization of purchase orders: ensuring accuracy of product qualities, quantities, pricing and ship windows.
• Responsible for pulling weekly Buying reports, and assisting in ship/sales business recaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Basic Excel knowledge
• Ability to work in our NYC office
• Availability Monday through Friday
• Experience in showroom or fashion e-commerce preferred
• Hourly compensation commensurate with experience
