Scrum Master of Scrums: Organizational Scrum Master (Remote Friendly) 

Your role in a nutshell: educate, encourage Agile behaviors, and support the overall performance of and communication between our Scrum teams.  

This position as Scrum Master of Scrums includes:

  • Understanding our unique approach to working together, which has evolved over the last 10 months using Agile Scrum.

  • Helping our company continue to scale using Scrum methodologies across all departments and divisions.

  • Helping scrum team members to coordinate work and priorities, resolve blockers, and identify overlapping commitments from team members across all scrums.

  • Embracing the use of Scrum outside of software development.

Your Responsibilities as the Scrum Master of Scrums:

  • Create a robust training program for people who are new to Scrum

  • Create an environment whereby teams are motivated, self-organizing and self-sufficient

  • Reinforce the  practices, norms, ceremonies of Scrum

  • Organize and facilitate effective Scrum of Scrum rituals to empower scrum team members company-wide to balance work and resources across scrums: backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint review, and sprint retrospective

  • Encourage teams to routinely inspect and adapt

  • Identify and facilitate the removal of team impediments and escalate as appropriate

  • Work with and coach Product Owners to develop, manage, and continuously groom the team’s product backlog

  • Assist Product Owners with planning and grooming activities

  • Foster a reciprocal and encouraging team culture through team building and engagement practices that build trust

  • Help other Scrum Masters and teams assess the overall health of their Agile practices and culture to identify opportunities to improve and provide coaching to make those improvements

  • Identify, track, and share effective metrics for things which forecast delivery

Your Background

  • Perhaps you have worked at a tech company as a Scrum Master, and have always wanted to help an organization grow using the Scrum techniques outside of software development.

  • Maybe you are new to Scrum, but have embraced its techniques and want to obtain Scrum Master Certification (CSM), or equivalent, to become the subject matter expert and Scrum guru at our company.

G Suite, Slack, Trello, Wordpress, Guru, Zoom

*It’s fine if you have not used these tools before; just be excited to learn them quickly.  Experience with any of them is a plus.
