The Affirm Security Team is seeking an experienced enterprise security leader who will be essential to Affirm technology, data, systems and employees success. The leader of enterprise security will strategically influence how Affirm secures our enterprise in balance with the usability needs of our employee base. A successful candidate will be able to balance constantly evolving tactical needs with implementing critical initiatives with the help of our cross-functional partners. The Senior Director, Enterprise Security is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and reporting on cybersecurity risk to information assets, while supporting and advancing business objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Proactively work with risk management teams and cross-functional engineering partners to implement and maintain secure technology.
  • Partner with other areas of security and engineering to drive remediation of findings and ensure regulatory/audit compliance
  • Drive critical initiatives in support of risk reduction and maintain security standards and guidelines.
  • Engage with internal business and technology teams for security design consulting, reviews, and testing. Identify vulnerabilities and propose both tactical and strategic improvements
  • Develop and lead core information security programs including: incident response, security operations, platform security and IT security.
  • Perform security assessment on tools, business applications and infrastructures including threat models, risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, design reviews, and penetration tests.

What We Look For

  • In-depth understanding of information security management frameworks, including PCI, GDPR, CPAA, CIS, NIST, Cloud Security Alliance, or other frameworks.
  • Exhibit a high level of personal integrity and the ability to expertly handle confidential matters with an appropriate level of calmness, judgment and maturity.
  • A strategic leader and builder, able to energize internal and cross functional teams.
  • Sound understanding of business management and a working knowledge of cybersecurity technologies
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines
  • Experience communicating information security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various hierarchical levels, ranging from board members to technical specialists.
  • Proven track record and experience in developing information security policies and procedures, as well as successfully carry out programs that meet the objectives of excellence in a dynamic business environment.
