At OwnBackup, Sales Operations supports, enables, and drives the entire sales organization to sell better, faster, and more efficiently. We do that by designing, implementing, analyzing and optimizing the processes, data, and tools that support the sales team. The team consists of three sub-teams: Go-to-Market Operations, Field Enablement, and Deal Desk.
The Senior Director of GTM Operations role will lead the GTM Ops function within the team. Reporting into the VP of Sales Operations, this person will direct and manage a team responsible for process creation and optimization, operational reporting and analysis, sales compensation, and Sales tech stack business requirements, all across the entire Sales org (Sales, Sales Development, Alliances and Solution Engineering). This is a critical role in helping the company scale effectively and continue to maintain a high growth rate. We are looking for an intelligent, highly driven individual with extensive knowledge of SaaS company metrics, sales and sales development processes, as well as fluency with SFDC and other critical applications in the Operations tech stack. Strong business acumen, project management skills and process orientation are a must.
Your Day-to-Day Role
- Create, implement and enforce all standard operating procedures and rules of engagement across the sales organization.
- Own the end-to-end process of tracking and analyzing the sales funnel from lead to customer and delivering regular insights to the business
- Partner with sales leadership to help identify key areas for process improvement that will drive sales efficiency and productivity improvements
- Own business requirements for the Sales tech stack; constantly seek ways to improve usability and efficiency via our tools/technology
- Develop and track all operational KPIs and extract key insights that will deliver against company performance standards and objectives.
- Oversee territory management (new territory carve-outs, territory changes, territory assignments w/n SFDC, etc.)
- Manage monthly commissions administration and compensation plan creation/execution process
- Scope projects, drive key work streams including milestones, activities, deliverables to execute within deadlines. Proactively communicate project status to business stakeholders
Your Work Experience
- At least 8+ years professional experience with 3+ years working in a sales operations function within an entrepreneurial, high growth business.
- Deep understanding of the principles and levers that drive effective sales organizations.
- Strong analytical capabilities and adept at solving complex problems.
- A+ Leader who is able to formulate compelling, data driven, solutions and recommendations to deliver against objectives.
Important Details
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate must work out of our New Jersey office to maximize interaction with business.
