Hi, we’re Lively. Are you?

We’re revolutionizing hearing care. We’re on a mission to empower tens of millions of people to hear better through affordable, convenient, hearing care — at a fraction of the cost thanks to telemedicine. We’re led by a crew of enormously talented thinkers, creators, and doers. And we’re as collaborative and compassionate as we are ambitious. Built In NYC just named us one of the “best small companies to work for.” Want to help us lose the “small”?

So, why Lively?

There’s a million companies you could take your talents to. What makes Lively a good match? We’re a series B start-up with an eager, empowered customer base that’s growing exponentially. And we’re young enough, and small enough, where you could make a big, tangible difference — a real impact. Where are we from?  We come to hearing care by way of Amazon, Facebook, 1stdibs, among other start-ups. And we’re surrounded by a world-class advisory board and audiology team.

About the role.

Lively is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our rapidly scaling team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive adoption of the latest and greatest IT and SAAS technologies while supporting the organization’s growth. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management and execution of Lively’s IT platforms, 3rd party systems, and security needs. In addition to owning and executing all aspects of our IT strategy, you will also provide hands-on support to our employees and will help on-boarding new employees on IT systems and installing their tech equipment. This role reports directly to the CTO.

What you’ll do.

  • Provide day-to-day support to Lively employees; address technical questions, troubleshoot issues with vendors, and provide coaching on Lively’s IT systems.
  • Drive the IT onboarding & offboarding processes; procure hardware and software, manage users and permissions, and work with the People and Finance teams to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Handle sensitive information with sound judgment; implement and maintain effective security systems to reduce business risk.
  • Develop audit-proof systems and records; create quality control and assurance processes to prevent and check errors.
  • Maintain and improve Lively’s core IT and SAAS services such as GSuite, Salesforce, Slack, Hexnode, Zoom, MDM, One Login, CrowdStrike Falcon, JIRA, Open VPN and other platforms.
  • Deploy, manage and troubleshoot Macbook and Windows laptops across the organization using our MDM; ensure the highest security policies are being enforced.
  • Juggle multiple projects and demands effortlessly; meet Lively SLA’s for issue response and resolution.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new enterprise technologies as Lively scales.

What you’ll bring.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in information technology, IT support, and/or technical operations, preferably at a high growth start-up
  • Experience with G Suite, 2FA, Mobile Device Management (MDM), helpdesk ticketing systems, and other applicable software services
  • Experience supporting large environments of Macbooks and Windows users with an ability to patiently troubleshoot issues
  • Proven experience managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Demonstrated high-level of detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented; comfortable leading cross-functional projects
  • A customer-centric approach to end-user support; able to explain technical concepts clearly to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders across an organization
  • Passion for identifying and mitigating potential data and system security threats through creative problem-solving
  • Systems-thinker motivated by solving complex problems and building scalable processes
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Salesforce, Slack, Zoom
    • Understanding of networking concepts such as VPN, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, SSL, OSI
    • Familiarity with HIPAA and PHI compliance requirements and best practices
    • Experience with HIPAA, SOX, SOC1, SOC2 Compliance and CCPA

Why we love it here.

Changing lives and revolutionizing hearing care sounds like serious business. And it is. But we know how to have fun along the way. Case in point: our energizing weekly all-hands meetings where you’ll smile so much your smile muscles might get sore.

It helps that we have such a diverse crew — so you’ll fit right in. The Lively family includes actors, sommeliers, top-chefs, a former professional rollerblader (yep, that’s a thing), dancers, black belts, filmmakers and countless four-legged furry sidekicks.

Even our benefits are Lively.

  • You’re worth it. Our compensation is competitive and our 401k plan includes a 4% match.
  • Take care of yourself and your loved ones. We offer excellent medical, vision, and dental insurance and contribute generously to it. Adding a new member to your family? We also provide 12-weeks paid parental leave.
  • Fill that well! Whether you check out America’s natural treasures or just veg out on your couch, enjoy your paid time off. We encourage time off.
  • Nomnom on us. Lively offers a weekly lunch stipend. (Pro tip: Groceries count.)
