Senior Manager, Employee Communications

We are looking for a Senior Employee Communications Manager to inform and inspire internal and external OwnBackup audiences through creative storytelling. You will collaborate with leaders, teams and partners across the company to generate brand awareness, protect reputation and drive employee engagement. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications.
Your Day-to-Day Role
- Develop, plan and execute OwnBackup's employee communications strategy
- Collaborate and partner with internal stakeholders and marketing teammates to ensure that communications are effectively written, distributed and amplified across the organization
- Serve as an advocate for the "employee voice"
- Lead All Hands/Town Hall meetings, Mid-year Kickoff, Executive AMAs, company newsletter, corporate intranet content, etc.
- Optimize channel utilization and content: i.e. what's best for face to face, written word, video, slack, etc.
- Ensure consistency of messages and brand throughout all communications channels.
- Provide insight and recommendations on the internal communications trends and tactics to increase engagement and improve results of communication campaigns and activities.
- Monitor and measure communications and make data-driven recommendations.
- Create management and leadership communications plan

Your Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications or marketing from an accredited institution.
- Seven or more years of relevant professional experience in communications
- exceptional writer and coach with the skill to distill complex content into clear and engaging people-centered communications
- People-person with excellent presentation skills and presence
- Adept storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives in support of our business strategies
- Strong organizational skills and business acumen
- Ability to influence across functions, geographies and levels, and the ability to drive alignment
- Strong attention to detail with a strategic mindset
- Skilled in Google slides and Keynote; you can build your own presentations without heavy reliance on internal or external design support
- Ability to manage workload, be flexible and proactive, work under deadlines, and ensure quality
- Experience with executive communication and employer brand development is a plus
Important Details
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business.
