Our company is made up of driven, passionate people who bring their unique backgrounds and perspectives to everything we do. We are committed to fostering diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion.  We encourage individual potential rather than years of experience. We see the value in each person’s perspective, and recognize their talents, regardless of what the market says. We believe it’s important to nurture a company culture that encourages curiosity and passion—from employee resource groups and learning opportunities to team outings and community outreach.

A Better opportunity:

We’re building a world-class Operations and Insights team; one that combines highly effective processes and systems that enable efficiency and scale. You can think of our team as 'the brains' of Better's revenue-generating engine. We support the business with insights, analyses, and thought partnership on the most complex problems to enable growth and exceptional customer experience.

The right person for this role is a strong people leader with the ability to leverage data, communicate actionable insights and help drive business outcomes. More specifically, we're looking for an analytically-savvy individual who can coach, develop and lead a team responsible for synthesizing results, developing and leveraging technology to identify and track KPIs and generate key reporting packages. Ultimately, this role will help lead the implementation of sales effectiveness strategies. Our ideal candidate is both entrepreneurial with the ability to innovate and take initiative, as well as team-oriented with strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Build and scale a strategic, analytically-driven team of Analysts and Associates that drive increased efficiencies and support scale
  • Analyze data, understand trends, and draw conclusions to inform business decisions on go-to market strategy
  • Develop, monitor, and improve data, tools and reports required for Senior Leadership, including, but not limited to, forecasting, planning, budgeting, and performance management processes used within the Sales & Operations teams (i.e. business intelligence, data hygiene, KPIS/dashboards/reporting capabilities)
  • Build, manage and effectively implement reporting cadences, ensuring the right data and insights cascade to the leadership team
  • Lead the creation, articulation and interpretation of reporting insights to drive business outcomes that align with Better’s values, mission and growth objectives

About You:

  • Professional Experience:
    • 4+ years experience in a heavily analytical environment, with at least 2 years of people management experience
    • Strong quantitative background in data analysis and modeling. SQL and data visualization is a bonus!
  • Skill Sets & Behavioral Traits:
    • Problem Solving: Our ideal candidate has the ability to structure problems, conduct analysis and synthesize insights. We’re looking for a thought leader who can own and refine a perspective to drive solutions.
    • Execution: Our ideal candidate is action oriented with the ability to develop and manage end-to-end project plans and assume ownership of implementation
    • Communication & Collaboration: You have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to partner cross functionally to drive large scale initiatives
    • Leadership:
      • Strong people management skills with a proven track record in successfully coaching and developing direct reports.
      • Thought partnership: You are a strategist with an innovative approach. You’re dedicated to the business and identifying ways to drive large scale impact.
    • You are highly adaptable and able to thrive in ambiguous environments
    • You are humble, highly driven and detail-oriented

Bonus Points:

  • You have experience with sales incentive compensation management systems (i.e. Xactly).
  • Have worked with Looker/LookML

The Better mission is rooted in values that drive us.

  • We do what’s in the best interest of the consumer, not ourselves
  • We have growth mindsets, not fixed ones
  • We believe that success lies in execution, not credentials
  • We act like owners, not just employees
  • We work to find answers on our own, not wait for them to be given to us
  • We optimize for mission, not ego

Our mission speaks for itself—we continue to outpace the industry at every turn. We’ve joined forces in partnership with Ally Bank, and our backers have helped build some of the most transformative tech and finance companies in history. Kleiner Perkins, Goldman Sachs, American Express, Citigroup, Activant Capital, Ally Bank, and others have invested in our vision for what homeownership can be.

Better Benefits & Compensation

Our total rewards package consists of base salary, equity, benefits, and opportunity for yearly cash bonus. Some of our benefits include:

  • Robust wellbeing offerings that allow you  unlimited access to virtual fitness, meditation, yoga, cooking classes, homeschooling preparedness, physical therapy, and more.
  • Unlimited time off (with manager approval)
