The Senior Manager, Internal Communications will develop a comprehensive internal communications strategy that enhances the employee experience, fosters a culture of inclusivity, and transparently keeps our people informed. The successful candidate understands the importance of storytelling and its impact on the overall employee experience. This person will have extensive experience in writing and executing proactive communications plans, including at the executive level. Candidates should be excellent writers, strategic and creative thinkers, and skilled at managing relationships with senior leadership.


What You'll Do:

  • Drive change management initiatives across the company, acting as an internal consultant and partner to a variety of leaders.
  • Develop and implement a company-wide communications calendar and programs, including coordinating with our ERG chairs and Workplace team on any internal events
  • Partner with key stakeholders, including the marketing/PR team to ensure all internal and external messaging is consistent.
  • Build a scalable internal communications strategy to ensure all employees at Transfix have the tools, resources, and information they need to succeed
  • Write first drafts and briefs on behalf of executive leaders
  • Be the point person to run bi-weekly all-hands as well as monthly leadership all-hands
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to shape company-wide announcements and updates
  • Manage internal communications during moments of change or urgency, responding thoughtfully and accurately to unique situations
  • Manage corporate events, as needed
  • Build strong relationships with leaders across Transfix teams

About You:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional corporate/internal communications experience, preferably in-house at a mid- to large-size company
  • Have direct experience in driving employee engagement initiatives
  • Business savvy, and intellectually curious; pro-actively seeks information and learns about all areas of the business.
  • An excellent communicator across all mediums, but especially as it relates to writing
  • Display a genuine interest in Transfix and be our leading ambassador
  • A commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and preferably experience in this area 
  • An empathetic people-person who is passionate about bringing people together
  • Experience leading communication efforts in change management efforts 
  • Exceptionally organized and extremely attentive to detail, with planning and prioritization skills that don’t falter in a fast-paced work environment

Location:

  • This role will be based in our NYC headquarters after Labor Day. Some flexibility on remote work is expected, but must have flexibility to be in-office on a regular basis.
